weird and wonderful things...
I realised today in the shower (see I'm clean too not just my clothes!) that I have been remis in telling you all about some of the random things here at KSC.
Firstly the showers... what can be weird about them i hear you cry... well i'll tell you
I don't know how they do it but they're super-powered! (ok i kinda know how they do it)
I was expecting crappy showers because whenever you're in halls or sharing showers they generally suck. Here though they are so powerful they hurt when i had sunburn a few weeks back. They blow air through the system so they're prob not using much water but it hits you hard! Also in case you wanted to know they're generally hot too. This may not be interesting to any of you but i found it weird.
Secondly, and one of my favourite things about KSC, is the musical clock...
except there's no clock.
At 12 noon and 6pm they play plinky plonky music over loudspeaker from the roof of the library (kinda midpoint on campus) Hehehe it's great it's cheesy but i love it! admittidly it may get annoying if you're up in Huntress Hall or something but I'm not so i love it! One of the tunes it plays is 'Yesterday' random!! Apparently at churstmas it plays carols... HOW COOl! how excited am i to hear this! i may have to use my camera and film something and try and get the mic to pick up the songs! I love the little things you don't expect to find.
Thirdly and quite cool now we're not freaked out about it... they have a unique way of letting you in for food and making sure you are actually you. They read the bone alignments in your right hand... i kid you not. You swipe your card and then put your hand on a pannel in a machine and make sure your fingers are alligned around 5 little posts (making sure your hand is in right place by checking red lights on top) then you wait for a green light and a beep and you can go eat... how kinda charlies angels is that!
So yes the weird and wonderful world of KSC
btw if you don't know what KSC stands for read back!
hmmm i think the lucky charms i'm eating are sending me slightly hyper...
Right i best get back to work

I love the hand thing, that's awesome! You don't even get that much security at granada!
(And even when Tony Blair was there!)
You must have very good food!

We don't have a hoof recognition system. We would headbutt it if we did, when we are hungry we need food NOW!!

Do you get the sound of a xylophone and an american voice saying "Good morning or good evening campers - sorry students"?
Now - Charlie's angels! That's a laugh! The new ones or the original ones? Who's had the most botox? - come on now, we know your secret!
(Are any of you secretly Chinese/Japanese?)
By the way "tony - your great dad" is interfering in my blogging to make me tell you that Villa drew
1-1 with Chelsea. I think "back of the net!"is appropriate.
