Putt Putt (mini golf) is the best!

It's September!!
I've been here for a week and 3 days now, feels so much longer but at the same time kinda gone quick.
I was completly shattered on thursday, i'd had my classes for the week and little sleep etc had caught up with me. i got to bed earlyish though and felt a lot better on fri.. only problem was that Thursday nitght here is 'party' night, oh the joys! my room (see pic, pink square) faces the main walkway to the nests and people are really not quiet! Also, lovelily, some kind considerate person threw up down our corridor... on carpet, and it reaked all yesterday :(

Anyway, had a great day of nothing yesterday and braved the laundry, which took about 3 hrs overall, think will get faster now though! Me, Sarah and Emma went to the CCC social in the evening and went to play Putt Putt, min golf to us, and had so much fun! If you've never played mini golf you should, although the Americans def know how to set them out the best. After we went to an ice-cream store and oh my life! Why do we not have such things!!! like 30+ choices of ice-cream, toppings cones tubs etc etc etc. a small tub cost $2.95 which is about £1.50 and you get loads, kind puts StarCity icecream in perspective!

I'm loving my room at the mo as my roomate has been away so i've had my room to myself which has been great! Thats one of the things thats hard is that i can't just jump in my car and escape, or go to my room and chillout because you never know if someone's going to appear. I love being around people but i think i've realised how much i love my own hideaway, not for long periods but for like 30 mins everynow and then.

Me and Em are going to try a church tomorrow morning which a few of the CCC go to so hopefully it'll be cool. I found it weird that they suggested i went kinda smart casual, you could go in jeans but may feel more comfortable in smarted trousers. But hey their culture :)

Right i will leave you with one more pic, i'm trying to get one to show how beautiful it is here but nothing does it justice so far. So anyway this is a pic of me (obv) and sarah (left) and emma, my 2 closest friends here, also from Wolve uni. You'll here lots about them so at least you can put a name to a face!

We're outside the library here, and sarah's doing a 'british bulldog' pose, no i'm not sure what that is either!

hope you're all well, remember i want to here about you!!

xx

p.s. if anyone wants to take pity on someone in the US who has to put up with Hershey's chocolate but would prefer some Dairy milk.... ;)

Oh pls pls pls DON'T talk aboot the proper ice cream stores.... we really are shameful here with lack of choices! U didn't hear this from me but US McDonald's do an amzing triple-shake, 1 nice thing doesn't make up for the rest of what they sell though!

Loving how your room has a pink square round it....it's almost like they knew! Can you get some footage of u all playing putt-putt? Would make a great video-blog me thinks. Be sure to blog us with your experience of American Church, looking forward to see how u find it.

    David's fact of the day:

Hersheys has wax in it to stop it melting and that is why it tastes like crap.

I've just found this "blog" I think its called. Well I am your dad and have turned my back on all this modern technology! Jesus didn't have it so why should I use it. Still you are my daughter so I will make an exception in your case.

What does it mean when it says I can use some HTML tags? Are these Hot tips for monumental leisure time?

I thouight it was nice the way they put pink around your room, since you like that colour.

I've now added this to my favourites or should I say favorites th American way, so I will endeavour to find out what is happening.

I feel it is your public duty to explain to American's what British Bulldog is all about - It's actually quite similar to American Football. Everybody runs across the pitch and the others in the middle try and stop them.

Must go now to do some work. Up the Villa (3rd in the league at the moment and now owned by an American - something good has come out of America!)
